Develops a program for gait training, ambulation, transfer skills, balance and coordination.
Also, initiates the therapeutic exercise, prosthetic training and home exercise programs.
patients to determine to determine adaptation to living environment
and ability to perform activities of daily living and self-care, while developing a program
to achieve independence in these matters.
Evaluate patients speech and language abilities and establish a plan of treatment.
patients and their caretakers with referrals to community
resources such as meal delivery, transportation and financial assistance. Also provides
social and emotional support as difficulties arise from the illness.
Home Health Aides are trained to provide patient assistance in their personal care and hygiene,
feeding, grooming and activities of daily living.
